Velvet Tissue TV and Web Advert - Partizan Lab

I was part of the small art department team that intricately hand cut approximately 700 frames for this paper based stop-frame ad. During the shot I was able to offer practical solutions to technical problems and I was given extra responsibilities such as animation assistant and set dresser to provide extra assistance to the director.

To view 'The Making Of' video see bottom of page.
The velvet logo had been mechanically embossed on to a roll prior to filming. When the director required alterations to the prop, i was able to draw on my printmaking experience to replicate the embossing process manually and remake props to order, providing the director with flexibility to achieve the effect he wanted and continue filming to schedule.
This is the second of the adverts which we produced at the same time
20 frames cut of barely moving clouds, resulting in a nice authentic 'bubble' in the final animation
Each frame coated in a single ply of Velvet's finest, and re-cut (cloud stem removed in post)
